Dig and Survive: How to Sell Scrap

Selling scrap in Dig and Survive turns collected scrap into cash for weapons and med kits. Learn what the exchange is, what it buys, and what to verify in-game.

Dig and Survive supports selling scrap for cash. Scrap is the material you dig up during the day while defending against undead waves at night, and you have two options for it: use it yourself to build defenses, or sell it to get cash. The sale is a discrete transaction, separate from the digging that collects the scrap in the first place.

Sources describe the Scrap-sale result as cash and separately mention Gems for vendor gear, but they do not establish whether those labels refer to the same balance, different resources, or a changed interface. Lucky Tickets are separately reported as the class-roll resource. Check the balance name that changes after a sale and the resource accepted by your current vendor before planning a purchase.

What to verify in-game: the exact selling interaction (where it happens and which controls trigger it), the cash amount you receive per sale, and any restrictions on selling — these details should be confirmed from the exchange screen itself before relying on the proceeds. Check the displayed result after each sale and confirm the cash balance increased before spending it.
